Why do many women wear sleeveless shirts, more so than men?

Muslim culture actually doesn’t allow men to show their upper arms and thighs, so Muslim men and boys wear T-shirts and at least knee long pants.

Also, most men don’t shave their pit hair, while most women do. So, men wearing T-shirts hide the abundant growth under their pits.

Why not? I love sleeveless, it is cool and comfortable. also, there are lots of fashionable slevless clothes that are very feminine. And, men have to decide what they want - women to be feminine, or look like men? I hear the both all the time - women look like men, we don’t want them; and wome lie to us with lcothes and make up. You can’t win this battle, so wear what pleases yourself.

I’m wondering about attachment and transference with the therapist and the idea of escape and fantasy? How much do you think your strong feelings, constant thoughts, desires to be with your therapist are a way to escape from your present life? I wonder if the transference serves another purpose than to show us our wounds and/or past experiences, but is a present coping strategy for managing what we don’t want to face (even if unconsciously) in the present—-current relationships, life circumstances, etc. Can anyone relate to this concept of escape in relation to their therapy relationship? How does this play out for you?

I wasn’t allowed to wear sleeveless for 20 years, in my marriage, since it is against LDS modesty code. Which absolutely sucked. I was supposed to wear double layer of coverings and sweated horribly during the summer, to which I was tol “Look at yourself, you sweat so much”. Yeah, under the 3 layers of garments, and making sure my skin is covered im dark colors, so men don’t look at me, what do they expect will happen?
